How long does installation take?
Most RainSoft system installations are completed in a single visit, typically within a few hours. Our technicians handle all plumbing connections, configuration, and testing. We'll walk you through how to use your system before we leave.
Do RainSoft systems require a lot of maintenance?
RainSoft systems are designed for minimal maintenance. Water softeners need periodic salt refills. RO systems require filter replacements every 6-12 months. Our team can advise you on maintenance schedules and we offer service visits for all systems we install.
Will a water softener make my water taste salty?
No. A properly functioning water softener does not add a noticeable salty taste to your water. The ion exchange process replaces hardness minerals with a small amount of sodium, but the result is not detectable by taste. If you're sodium-sensitive, we can recommend a potassium chloride alternative or pair your softener with an RO drinking water system.
Can I get just the drinking water system without a whole-home softener?
Absolutely. RainSoft offers a full range of individual products. You can start with just a drinking water system or RO unit, and add whole-home treatment later if you choose. Our consultants will help you prioritize based on your budget and most pressing water quality concerns.
